The Czech Moot Court Competition (CMCC) is a simulated lawsuit. The main aim of the project is to test students’ knowledge in the field of law and to demonstrate their sufficient professional skills and reasoning skills before a jury of professionals. This practical experience will surely provide the student with an advantage in his or her future career.
The competition is also financially awarded, or students can compete for beautiful prizes.
The CMCC may be a single-round competition. It has a written part, followed by one nationwide oral final, in which eight teams with the best written submissions (always depends on the number of registered teams).
Or the CMCC may be a two-round competition, with the written part and oral part taking place at each faculty of law in the Czech Republic and their winners will advance to one nationwide oral final where the four winning teams from each faculty will compete. Or, the case may be adjusted, after the four teams from four faculties advance, the assignment changes, so that these teams have to rework their submissions and better prepare for the nationwide oral finals.
