Allen & Overy Essay Competition

The Allen & Overy Essay Competition is a written essay competition focusing mainly on the essential qualities of a lawyer, namely critical thinking and written expression, as it is very important for a student to understand the practical implications of theory in practice and to be able to deal with a really difficult legal issue.

The principle of the competition is designed to allow groups of students to tackle an obscure
topic under discussion in a designated area of law, exploring all aspects of it from a new perspective, and have the opportunity to present their original insight in a publication. The project thus opens up space for new and interesting arguments, contributes to the discovery of new talents among the students, and at the same time provides them with a chance to realize and present their ideas to the wider legal public by publishing their conclusions.

The top-placed students can also look forward to valuable prizes from Allen & Overy in the form of a cash prize of up to 20,000 CZK and a four-day stay in destinations such as London, Dubai, or Shanghai.
