Negotiation Competition
The Negotiation Competition is a simulation of the negotiation process between two parties. The goal of the competition is to find a compromise, and negotiate the best conditions for your client. Participating students, legal trainees, and young lawyers have the opportunity to go through the process of negotiating a legal dispute, starting with drafting a letter of intent and ending with oral negotiations at a law firm in person. The entire process is observed and evaluated by a panel of judges who are legal practitioners, allowing participants to obtain advanced skills in the field of negotiation. This competition serves as practice for future negotiations, and is intended to help develop expressing intent and negotiating, which are both important abilities for all legal professionals. All participants of the national round are provided with a certificate of participation to help boost their CV’s. The top three teams are also awarded a monetary prize.
