Legal education and careers in the United States
On November 16, 2020, we held an online discussion called “Legal education and careers in the United States” with Andrej Milic, Esq., which we were looking forward to. As the name implies, we learned about what to do if we want to study or work in the USA. But that’s not all!
We are very happy, as it was something new that has not yet taken place on our local group and as we could see from the participation, the members welcomed it as well. In addition, the students were served a double portion of education, because the discussion took place in English. Mr. Milic had perfect English and spoke very intelligible, so communication was not the slightest problem and if needed, I was always ready to translate anything.
Mr. Milic, who comes from Vienna, described his journey from the Austrian capital to education and law practice in Miami, Florida. Therefore, the students learnt not only how to succeed in practice in the US, but also what to do after completing their education in Europe. How to follow up, how to proceed, who to contact and simply, what steps to take. For example, they also had the opportunity to assess and discuss the difference between practicing law in our country and the US, or what are the differences in the cost of studying. There were also questions about to which point are certain TV series true to reality or what is Mr. Milic’s opinion regarding the recent elections and much more.
Personally, I have a really indescribable joy from the discussion, which is also enhanced by how positive the response has been. Everything went according to our wishes and I can only recommend.
