ELSA Job Fair 2021
ELSA Job Fair is back!
Traditionally, the ELSA Job Fair was held at our faculty, specifically on 2 and 3.11. 2021. After a very difficult year 2020, when the organizers were forced to move the fair to the online space, we are extremely happy that we were able to meet each other again in the campus of our Faculty of Law of ZČU in Pilsen. The whole fair was organized by local group ELSA Plzeň in cooperation with ELSA Česká republika and ELSA Career.
Law students had the opportunity to visit exactly 14 entities operating at the fair during these two days in November. Both czech and international law firms were present. Outstanding was a wide range of these entities – from Security information service BIS to ELSA stand with representatives of local group ELSA Plzeň, where students were well informed about the fair and received a unique ELSA Job Fair catalogue. Throughout the duration of the fair, students could talk to representatives of individual offices about the possibilities of obtaining law practice or they could discuss the law sector that interests them and which they would like to pursue in the future.
Moderated discussions of TALKS with representatives of law firms also took place both days; as well as workshops facilitated by the ZČU Information and advisory centre. In TALKS were presented the entities of the fair to students, clarified the possibilities of cooperation with them and the formalities for admission into legal practice. Students themselves could also be part of the discussion and ask questions that interested them about the entities. Workshops then brought skills in CV writing and performing at job interviews.
We believe that the fair was beneficial for the students and they took away countless interesting information, experiences and impressions that they will be able to exploit in their future operation. At the same time, we also want to express our great thanks to all our partners, the law firms involved also other entities of the fair, the students who visited the EJF and not least all the members of the OC (Organization Committee). Without all these people, it would not have been possible to realise this successful ELSA Job Fair and we hope to remain successful in the other years.
