ELSA Job Fair

A tradition of more than twenty-years, the ELSA Job Fair has been held by all four local ELSA groups in the Czech Republic. The job fair includes the most important international and Czech law firms, and representatives of the State administration and the EU, who are looking for the best students and graduates to become a part of their teams. Participants have the unique opportunity to meet their dream employer in an unconventional environment and ask all questions of interest to them, ranging from the content of work to the possibility of refreshments in the workplace. In addition, the job fair is traditionally complemented by moderated discussions – “Talks”, accompanying seminars, and workshops on topics such as “How to write a CV” or “Practice Interview”. Exhibitors appreciate that they have the opportunity to present their company and spread awareness about themselves, and informally meet a large number of students and offer them cooperation.

Should you want to present your company at one or more ELSA Job Fairs, do not hesitate to contact marketing@cz.elsa.org for more information.

Testimonials of the law firms:

“Our office was very satisfied with the organization of this year’s Job Fair, with communication and technical support. We have already agreed on future cooperation, with some of the students that we have met during the trade fair, so the event has fulfilled its purpose for us.” Alena Břicháčková, Schönherr law firm

“This year’s ELSA Job Fair was well organized, carried in a pleasant atmosphere and “Talks” gave it a nice swing. We met many dear future colleagues to whom we  had the opportunity to offer a student or junior position or an internship in our office.” Michaela Ulrychová, law firm Felix et al.

“Talks took place in classrooms and respected student breaks so that as many people as possible could partake. And the students really arrived in abundance and were not afraid to ask all the offices what they wished to know. How big is the workload of students in the offices, whether they will also receive feedback, when and if at all will they be able to attend lawyers’ meetings in the office, whether it is possible to continue as part-time trainees, how to dress, how much will they get paid per hour and offered bonuses. Of course, information on gender balance in offices was also interesting. This mutual contact between lawyers and students, future lawyers, seems to us to be quite effective. ” Pavlína Holá, Taylor Wessing

Testimonials of students:

“Job Fair is a great opportunity for all ambitious students, because it presents a wide range of Czech and international law firms and introduces students to the diverse possibilities of their future employment in the field. I highly recommend it. ” Barbora, 4th year of PF UK

“ELSA Job Fair is one of the few occasions where you can meet representatives of many law firms in one place. The offers are very wide, so ELSA Job Fair will make your orientation easier and help you take the first steps towards your legal career. Traditionally, the event has a relaxed atmosphere and a good mood all around. ” Daniel, 5th year of PF UK

“The fair is a yearly anticipated event where you can get in touch with leading employers in the Czech Republic and search for lucrative jobs for students offered by such employers. After the successful previous years, I will most definitely attend the fair again. ” Vojta, 3rd year of PF UK
