About ELSA Pilsen and ELSA Czech Republic

The European Law Students' Association.

The European Law Students´ Association is the worlds biggest non-political, independent and non-profit law students association. 

ELSA was founded in Vienna in 1981 and in the meantime its student body is composed almost of 50.000 law studetnts from 375 universities and 43 European countries.

ELSA co-operates with all the major las students associations in the worlds - e.g. with the organization ILSA (in Northe America), ALSA ( in Asia, Japan, Australia, and the Pacific) and AEJCI ( in Africa).

ELSA is present in the position of an observing and counceling status within the sessions of the following bodies of the United Nations:United Nations Economic and Social Council, United Nations Commission on International Trade Law and UNESCOand then ELSA is present in the observing position during the sessios of Council of Europe and during the sessions of World Intellectual Property Organization.

ELSA Czech Republic


ELSA Czech Republic was established in 1990 and today is present on all law faculties in the Czech Republic. whensoever its members body is composed from over 400 law students and fresh law graduates of all the law faculties of the Czech Republic.


ELSA Pilsen


ELSA Pilsen resides on the Law faculty of University of West Bohemia in Pilsen from 1998 and in the meantime it has over 100 members all over the class years of the Law faculty of Univesity of West Bohemia in Pilsen.
