ELSA Brno organized another Study Visit, this time to a sunny Barcelona.

Spanish adventure began on Thursday morning 3. 3. 2016 at Prague airport which brought all participants together. Without any difficulties, we not only boarded a plane, but also managed a stopover at Zurich airport. Although a journey to a hostel was much more challenging because we arrived to our hostel thanks to a one-hour bus ride, twenty minutes spent in a subway and 30 minutes of walk.

In the hostel, we were welcomed by kind but very slow receptionist who showed us the closest subway stations, the most famous sights and then also our accommodation for next four days. We were surprised by the size of the room and in the beginning, we couldn´t imagine how we would survive in such a small place.

After a short refreshment, we were ready to explore the beauty of Barcelona! One of the members of ELSA Barcelona was waiting for us in front of the hostel. He told us that he was actually not from Spain but an Erasmus student from Germany. Firstly, we visited well-known sight Sagrada Família. During the way to this monument, we were able to compare Czech and Spain legal education system as well as living conditions in Spain. Afterwards, the sightseeing continued to stroll around narrow streets and was completed by traditional Spanish dinner. Wonderful “tapas-tasting” was followed by night walk to Torre Agbar, during which tiredness appeared.

The beginning of the second day started with the food, it was worthwhile to follow recommendations of ELSA Barcelona and visit Brunch&Cake where incredible amount of delicious goodies were served at. After almost two hours lasting breakfast, we went to the square called Plaça Catalunya and then to the well-known street – Las Ramblas where the La Boquería market is also situated. However, relaxing forenoon was followed by demanding afternoon at local university where a lecture about antitrust law was held. We fulfiled the day by visiting a view with an amazing sunset.

We saw Mountjuïc castle during the last day in Barcelona and our last stop was park Güell. In the evening, we said goodbye to Spanish hosts and went to the airport in the very morning. Our tour ended at the same place where it had begun – at the Prague airport, we said goodbye to each other and drove back to our homes.
