From 22nd to 26th September, seven law students from ELSA Izmir visited Brno which was the first Study Visit in this semester. Our students did their best to make the visit to Brno and, of course, to our faculty an unforgettable experience for the Turkish colleagues.

On Wednesday, we started our city tour with seeing through our faculty and library. After that, our dean doc. Markéta Selucká, welcomed them in the hall of our faculty where they received welcome packages as well. Then, they got to know some interesting information about the history of the faculty. And in the end, we discussed the students' lives in Brno and Izmir over coffee in our ELSA office.

In the afternoon, we did some sightseeing in the centre which was finished at the Masaryk party in Fléda club where we were the dancing queens and kings of the night.

The Supreme Public Prosecutor's Office was the first stop on Thursday where we discussed the topics like the international relations between the Czech Republic and Turkey and their mutual cooperation in the EU, the extradition issues etc.  The afternoon was successfully finished at the Brno brewery where we tasted various kinds of beer. The calories and B vitamin complex after the degustation helped us in the evening when we had a great time on laser game which the Turkish students had never experienced before.

As we are also into science, the visit to the science centre VIDA, where we spend the whole Friday morning, was the right choice. A unique exposition was divided into four sections: the Planet, the Civilization, the Human and the Microworld. To launch a hydrogen rocket, to freeze your own shade, to experience the earthquake, to unleash a tornado or to solve the Bermuda Triangle Mystery is something what everybody wants to try out!

After this amazing experience, we went to visit the Supreme Administrative Court which attracted the attention of all visitors who had a lot of interesting questions. Unfortunately, it was our last evening so we spent it in the wine cellar with the dulcimer music.

We really had a great time together. It's amazing how fast you can find new friends from different corners of the world. We can't really wait to see them again in 2016 but this time in Turkey. I believe we enjoyed the time we spent together and we are looking forward to meeting them again!
